STRATEGIC BUSINESS UNITS

Adventium Songhai Delta Ltd operates across various sectors, encompassing both raw materials (crops and livestock) production, processing, and service-oriented activities (training including agribusiness and vocational; conference and events; hospitality and entertainment; mechanical fabrication and auto maintenance workshop; etc). These sectors include crop cultivation, encompassing food, garden, and tree crops such as oil palm, coconut, cassava, banana/plantain, grains (maize & rice), legumes (groundnut & soya bean), cucumber, vegetables (tomato, carrot, pepper, watermelon), amongst others. Additionally, the company engages in livestock farming, which includes poultry, piggery, and aquaculture as well as their processing or value addition into finished products or semi-finished products.

Presently, each of these production activities is being administered as distinct strategic business units with a focus on commercial viability and profitability.

Poultry Department

The Adventium Songhai Delta Farm or Songhai Delta farm poultry department has the following operational units that operate as strategic business profit-centered business units:

Hatchery Operations

There is a hatchery building to produce day-old-chicks. It has a brand new 21,500 egg incubation equipment with an existing 11,500 egg incubation equipment as well as a hatcher,

Day Old Chicks Brooding Operations:

Two buildings for holding and brooding of day-old chicks produced from the hatchery operations before transferring to broiler or layer pens exist within the farm. Each of the pens has a holding capacity for 1000 chicks.

Commercial Egg Production Operations

The farm has commercial egg production buildings and infrastructure with a layer bird holding capacity of more than 60,000 laying birds.

Broiler Operations

With eight buildings or pens installed with capacity for the weekly production of 4,000 broiler birds, the farm presently has the capacity to produce 200,000 broiler birds annually. At an average weight of 1.5kg per bird, the farm’s annual chicken meat production capacity is 300 tons.

Parent Stock Operations

The farm has buildings for parent stock rearing with a holding capacity of 2000 birds per pen or building.

Other Poultry Operations

Various bird species such as Duck, Geese, exotic birds, Turkey as well as Ostrich and Quail are reared in the farm.

Piggery Department

The department currently consists of four (4) rearing / farrowing as well as growers pens with a holding capacity handling 2000 pigs.

Aquaculture Department

With a total 42-tank aquaculture infrastructure, the farm has the capacity to produce 40 tons of both Catfish and Tilapia fish annually. The farm also produces juveniles and fingerlings.

Other Livestock Department

This department has two livestock production units viz

Grasscutter Operations

The farm presently has a grasscutter rearing operations infrastructure for seven hundred (700) grasscutter families. The infrastructure can be expanded to accommodate two thousand, one hundred (2100) grasscutter families.

Snail Farming Operations

The company has an infrastructure for the breeding of snails at the farm. The current installed capacity of the snail farm’s building is over 2000. This will be expanded to 6000 snails.

Organic Waste and Waste Management Department

Our number one objective in our operations is our assurance and commitment to a clean and sustainable environmental policy. In line with this, Adventium Songhai Delta Ltd is focused on using the twin impact of the ZERI concept and No Waste is lost practice in all operations. To this extent the company set up this department for the conversion and utilization of all waste generated on the farm for sustainable production of both livestock and crops including aquaculture.

Crop Production Division

Sustainable crop production: utilizing crop rotation, organic fertilizers, and natural pest control to yield high-quality produce. (food, garden, and tree crops) – oil palm, coconut, cassava, banana/plantain, maize, cucumber, pepper, tomatoes, etc.

Agricultural Processing Division

Our processing facilities play a crucial role in transforming raw agricultural products into value-added products and ingredients for various industries. Here’s an elaboration on each of our agricultural processing facilities:

Feed Mill

The farm has a 6.5 tons / hr. hammer mill and mixer for livestock feed formulation as well as five units of 8 tons grain silos. The feed mill also has a pelletizer to produce feeds for aquaculture. The farm currently formulates feed for the farm’s poultry and piggery operations.

Soya Bean Oil Production

0.25 tons / hr. soybean oil production plant with the production of soya bean meal as a by-product. The soya bean meal is further used in combination with maize, vitamins, and other additives for livestock feed formulation at the feed mill. The soya bean oil processing facility also has two units of 8 tons grain silos for the storage of soya bean.

Day Old Chicks Brooding Operations

0.25 tons / hr. crude palm oil production plant utilizing fresh fruit bunch from the 12 hectares oil palm plantation within the farm.

Livestock Processing

There is an abattoir for the culling and processing of broiler birds and pigs as well as fish cleaning. The abattoir equally has a 20-ton cold room infrastructure.

Plantain Processing

The farm currently process unripe plantain into flour, a very good staple food that has tremendous health benefits in diabetic and high blood pressure management.

Beverage Production

Beverage production department currently produce a wide range of products such as hibiscus (Zobo) drinks in 3 flavors; pineapple; ginger syrup; orange; soyabean juice cucumber juice, etc beverages, and more.
